The body on the first-style HG-2 was the same "Mustang-style" body that was used on the early SC lineup. Leo designed the small humbuckers that appear in this guitar to fit the same size route as an ASAT pickup. They are quite bright-sounding and work best for rock.

The body on the second-style HG-2 featured a more "Strat-like" upper horn - the body is the same as that found on the second-style SC-2 (which saw far higher production than the HG-2).

Also check out this page on Greg Gagliano's site for more information and specifications; note that the guitar featured on on Greg's site is the later Strat-style HG-2.
