The very first limited edition instrument produced by the G&L Custom Creations Department. There were only 100 of these instruments built, and orders were accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. Interestingly, the guitars were not identified as "#X of 100".

Quote from G&L's company web site:   "In April 1998, the G&L artist program requested an ASAT Classic with a third, centrally located pickup and five position selector switch. A reverse-wound ASAT Classic neck pickup was requested for the middle position, but tooling to reverse-wind this pickup was not yet in existence. The G&L Custom Creations Department responded by developing tooling to allow the ASAT Classic neck pickup to be reverse-wound, to be used only in the limited edition ASAT Classic Three."
