The SC-1 was the most affordable entry in the G&L lineup - and yet, even though the guitar was dirt cheap and marketed as a "student model", the quality of the construction and hardware are top-notch. What the SC-1 lacks in tonal flexibility it makes up for in its sheer simplistic beauty.

This model is also the instrument of choice for Robert Poss, guitarist / vocalist for New York City's now-defunct Band of Susans. Check out my Artist Spotlights Page for an in-depth look at the band (and Robert's gear).
