Balance between a bright bridge
pickup and the very warm
neck pickup is hard thing to get right on the
Bluesboy, I've been experimenting with different stuff for the whole time I've had mine - about 5 years now! The Seth Lover probably wont get you what you're after. A big part of the problem is that the
Bluesboy uses 250k pots, which make the humbucker even darker than usual (usually they're paired with 500k pots). My suggestion would be to get a humbucker from a custom builder who can make you one for the very purpose of matching up nicely with a single coil at the bridge, I got one through
THIS GUY who offers one as a standard model. Its as close as I've found to being a good combination, but I can't help but prefer a standard telecaster
neck pickup in there.
