Hello all!
Been a while, but got another nice G+L Legacy and am trying to determine what the markings inside mean....and the year (if neck matches body)
in the "swimming pool" cavity:
i assume they are pick designations:
BLK (guitar is black)
LEG (it's a Legacy)
-RW
-TGN
-T (treble??????)....it's closet to bridge
198273
headstock rear = CLF14363
neck pock - 1998 (does this jive with neck SN?)
also, as another silly little discovery, i had Sperzel locking tuners from a Strat, went to install and - they don't seam long enuff to make it thru headstock (i ordered G+L locking),,,,,is the G+L headstock a wee bit thicker than say a fender??

First off, please show us some photos.
Second, you have most of it right.
The RW is for Rosewood fingerboard.
The TN is for Gun Oil Tint. The neck should be a nice amber color.
Not sure what the T is for. This is one reason to show some photos. Someone else here probably knows what it means. Might be Tremolo as in the bridge.
The number is most likely the order number or PO number.
As far as the serial number, I usually search the registry on this site a couple hundred numbers below and above to see what dates come up and go from there.
I habe no idea how thick Fender headstocks are, it's been many, man-years since I owned an F guitar.

thanks Tom,
according to what you wrote - it all "jives"........
is there an easy way to upload photos? I used to use Photobucket - but it has become difficult to do on the fly.....
thanks for the info (yes, the guitar does have those specifics you wrote!)
gotcha on the serial number!!!
thanks again

See our tutorial on photos link in this post:
Welcome! Read This First.
Looking forward to see your Legacy.
And don't forget to add your guitar to our G&L Registery, too.

The other -T prolly stands for Tortoise shell pick guard.
I can't see any photobucket stuff behind my firewall, so the pics are just coming up with "3rd party hosting is disabled" message.

I just added this to the Important Notes section of the
Tutorial: Posting photos:
-Photobucket no longer offers free 3rd party hosting, so unless you have paid Photobucket for that service, do not link your photos
from your Photobucket account. We do have the free Registered User's Gallery for members to upload G&L instrument photos,
so that you can link (embed) your photos from there. Otherwise, use another free photo hosting site.
Hope this helps.
