Jeff says,"I bought this ASAT back in 93. I was into Rockabilly at the time
but had a wild hair and bought this metal machine because of the color. After
my G.A.S. had faded, I ended up trading it on an ASAT III S/S/S signature guitar.
I then found out the rarity of the S/S/HG guitar, only 5 or 6 known, and spent
the next nine years tracking it down. I mentioned my search on my user profile
and got a message from a fellow GbLer that he had my guitar. He lived in my home
state also and gave me a great deal. It took another year and a half before I
finally came up with the cash to buy her back. Yes, I bought the same guitar twice.
It's now one of my favorites. I will never sell her again. She's in a Wine Red test
color. Only seen it on a handful of other G&L's. Has the S/S/HG configuration, which
is little known."
