Jim DePitts' 1984 Interceptor

Description:

Jim says, "Interceptor: the story of the ugly ducking turned swan. No wonder Leo didn't like it. It had little relation to all that went before it, except the sound, which wasn't crash and burn, blazing metal ear-numbing like the shape would suggest, just another nice sounding instrument from G&L. This first, or 'X' body got little attention despite numerous advertising efforts, and was doomed to a low (and later highly collectible) production number."

The first-style X-body Interceptor is a "rarebird"; please refer to the Registry section on this site for more information about this model.
