Tim Pershing's gorgeous SC-1, neck and body dated November 1982. Tim
says, "It's a hardtail, which are more common than the vibrato models,
but as is stated elsewhere (on this page) there are not very many of
these to begin with, so everything's relative!"
Tim also adds, "The least expensive (and least adorned) G&L made to date, it is still a fully functional, full-sized guitar. The hardware, scale length and other materials are all equivalent to their other, more expensive instruments. It is analogous, in the G&L line, to the Musicmaster guitar in the old Fender model line, but as a utility instrument it greatly outperforms the low end Fenders..."
