Joe Maas' 1984 Interceptor

Joe Maas' gorgeous 1984 Interceptor Bass. Joe says, "Two piece flamed maple Interceptor bass. The color is Blue Pearl Sunburst. This is the Matching bass to Glen Yunker's 2 Interceptor X-body guitars that were featured in Paul Bechtoldt's Vintage Guitar article a few years back. I bought this bass from Milton Smith whom is also featured in (Paul Bechtoldt's book) LEO'S LEGACY. Yunker bought his pair from Milton Smith. Milton told me he had ordered the 3 of these guitars as a set back in 1984. Would you believe he also had a 3 piece set in natural maple at one time too. This guitar is NOS and flamey as can be. This is one of the first Interceptor basses, and one of a very few with the flamed maple body. I'm not sure how many, if any, others have this rare color. When you see this guitar in person, it has a light tinge of blue pearl over the top of a gorgeous cherry burst."
