<description><![CDATA[This S-500 is what started it all! It's the first G&amp;L I've ever owned; I bought it used locally in late 1996. With its clear red finish and metal crinkle-finish pickguard its cosmetics didn't immediately grab me - but after playing it a few minutes its feel and sound pretty much blew me away. I still own the guitar and it's a &quot;keeper&quot; to be sure! For the record, the guitar has an ash body and nonoriginal Sperzel locking tuners. ]]></description>
