I just finished going through the notes I have and the draft of the book. It appears that the 250 pcs. came directly from BBE when they reviewed a later draft of the book. So they no doubt gave that number to George.

Let me do a little bit more digging to see what else I can find as I literally have a giant box of interviews and notes from times George and I spent together.

I'll let you know if I find more.
