The ASAT Classic is patterned after a '53 Telecaster ~ thus is has the vintage box bridge with twin MFD single coils (small pickups like a Tele) with 6-saddles so you can intonate it better that the '53 with the 3 saddles.The ASAT Special has the big soap bar P-90'ish looking MFD pickups. They have more winds on the pickups thus are hotter and have a more darker sound. It comes standard with the saddle lock bridge which enhances sustain.
