Bone nut installation on a Legacy?
offplanetfilms on February 08, 2010 at 20:35:31:

Last year I purchased a USA Legacy which came with 12-56 strings. I’ve been trying to grow into the playability of the heavy strings, but I’ve increasingly found myself wishing the guitar had 10-46’s.
My local guitar tech (who himself builds stunning guitars) recommended I try a bone nut to install the smaller gauge strings.
Is a bone nut a good idea with a legacy?, ..Or would another material work better with the dual-fulcrum system? (I don’t actually use the vibrato that much, and I do have some nut sauce around somewhere)
I’m leaning towards trying to bone nut, but if it really isn’t recommended for a Legacy, please let me know! (I'm all ears)
