My best bargain is probably my '86 ASAT in OHSC. It's a very early one, and is the virtual Broadcaster. I paid $400 for it a little over 1 year ago. Admittedly, the frets were a bit worn, but even after getting it refretted, I feel the $600 total is still good. It's a great guitar.
There was a nice very early ASAT on Seattle Craigslit, granted it was in great shape, but it lasted only 1 day listed at $750. So I'd say you got a good deal. I really wanted it but the money was/is just not available. I had to watch it go.
