Lunch Report for Monday, February 8, 2010 posted by BoogieBill on February 08, 2010 at 09:29:51:

: Do you perform live? Tell us of one of your best performance moments.

The last time I played out was playing bass for a Hendrix tribute band. It was a lot of fun, the audience was very into it and reciprocated with a lot of cheers after each tune. I'm hoping there can be more moments like that in the future. For now I'm happy (and hoping) to make small consistent improvements at home.

:
: Tell us about some of your bargains, past and present. What is the cheapest guitar in your collection that you actually play?
:

My 2 Invaders were each bought for under $200, granted I had to strip off many layers of bad paint jobs ( I swear one must have been painted 3-4 times...I can remember taking off black, gold, brown,a primer coat, and then the G&L pink.)

:
: Is there a pointy, Floyd Rose or Kahler-equipped shred machine in your past? Did you have to go through a rehab program to give up your Spandex and big hair? Maybe you’re a Leo-era guy, and continue to play your Climax, Interceptor, Nighthawk, etc. Spill it now! Confession is good for the soul!

I have one project neck through guitar that is a little pointy, no Floyd Rose...I used a DF since I had an extra in the parts bin. She plays nice but not quite a shredders delight (and I'm not even close to being able to shred, but it would be a nice occasional ego-boost if I could).

I sold my Interceptor last year...great guitar...it just wasn't getting played much.

: More importanly, is there a pointy, Floyd Rose or Kahler-equipped shred machine in your future?
:

Not in the near future, I'm selling gear more than buying recently. I think if I was to surrender to my GAS it would be if I saw an Alembic guitar or bass I could afford.

: Have a great week, kids. Rock On!

Thanks ! Rock and Roll !!
