| What to twang with posted by Tundra on May 09, 2008 at 18:25:07: |
What is wrong with the Asat III? I've played one alot and several on test drives and all of them were seriously twangy. From what I understand the twangers that came to see Leo were highly impressed with this model...
But to answer your questions:
No a maple fretboard is not a must. I like them better but I have played hightly twangy rosewood models.
Semi-hollow, if your going for twang. I wouldn't go with a semi-hollow. Will Ray might beg to differ, but I wouldn't want to soften the sound any with a semi-hollow.
I haven't compaired the Classic to the Classic Custom, but I love the large MFD pickup. So it was not even a issue of choice between the two for me. The Custom is the best of both worlds.
