Lunch Report--Monday posted by Thundersteel on January 11, 2010 at 12:45:30:

: 2. G&L: To start off, I'll just show some pictures of my basses: an L-2000, and a JB-2. By the way, the neck on the L-2000 really isn't that yellow! Anyone else here "bottom feeders?"

I don't consider myself a bass player, but I have an L-2000 for when I record and I have to play bass.

: 3. Discussion: A) G&L is Leo Fender's last company. He felt that these were the best instruments he made. Even so, some feel there could be room for improvement. What do you think could be improved? Construction? Design?

I don't really go out of my way to look for instruments different from what I have. The truth is I really have no first hand experience even with the big MFDs like on the ASAT Special. I don't have any guitar with P-90 pickup so for that reason I'd like to see a G&L with P-90s; but then G&L will have to go outside for pickups unless they develop their own P-90s. I really should first go play and hear a few ASAT Specials before I even contemplate anything with P-90s.

: B) How do you feel about pet alteration? For instance, do you get your cat declawed, and/or your dog's tail docked?

I am definitely for neutering our pets unless you know you can find good homes for their offsprings. I had a cat until it died from old age at 18 and she was neutered. We now have a dog and she is also neutered.
