document by G&L historian (and past Vintage Guitar columnist)
Paul Bechtoldt is worth checking out. It may be hard to find, as it has been out of print for some time.

This book, of course, mainly focuses on George's and Leo's experiences
at Fender, but the section on G&L guitars is worth a read as well.
