A few back, I went to Tokyo- Shibuya, Ochanomizu, etc. to see Bass Guitars. I have an affinity for Japanese "small-batch" basses, and there are incredible Bass-specific music stores there, we have nothing like them here in the States.
The G&L line is held in VERY high esteem there, alongside some incredible Japanese builders like Sugi, Dragonfly, ESP Japan etc.
That's sayin' something.
