:happy0065:

MY ASAT bass (built in the days of the micro-tilt hs) was "plain" by comparison-
Blonde w/ wood binding (which looked amazing btw) BE 'board and NO DOTS.

I'm a fan of ASAT basses, and I don't know nuthin' about no neck-dive; didn't happen!

This axe is outstanding, and the CS models for Drum City are some of the tightest builds out of G&L IMO.

That bass may be a bit too flashy for a senior like me (ha-ha) but nonetheless-

IT TOTALLY ROCKS!!!

Great job, G&L CS & Drum City.

I’m with Larry on this one, this baby rocks. The sponged blue crackle frost is made for the stage, and the double binding puts it over the top. I’m a big fan of double binding.

Kudos to the G&L CS! :alright:

Hey Larry, a flashy senior bass player is popular these days, just ask Paul McCartney and Duff McKagan. ;)

LOL, true that; plus...
I'm young-at-heart. :sign0011:

All kidding aside, I would/could/wanna ROCK that bass. It is the bomb. One of the coolest I've seen.
(My) age be damned!

In light of current events (G&L-wise that is) it would be a travesty if instruments such as this ASAT bass were no longer being made (G*D forbid!)
I cannot think of any builder that could or would do this build- All of Leo's G&L features-MFD's, bridge, etc. Sure, they could be spec'd, but nothing could compare to an instrument coming out of the historic Fullerton shop. Wow. Really makes me sad if the worst happens. Hope NOT.

I saw this axe on the Drum City site- It is expensive, but these days all top quality instruments command high $$. My first G&L was built to order with a number of options and cost about 1/3 the price, but those were the good old/bad old days.
It's a diferent World and a different, complex economy.

Compared with pricing of the "others" it is not out of line- I mean I see brands "S" (adowskyi) and brand "L"(Ull) for example cost more, and they are awesome, but THAT bass...
...and MANY others outta the G&L CS posted here lately... OMG. Winners.
