Weights vary hugely, becasue each tree is different. If you order one you can ask for a light or heavy one, whatever is your preference.

Give your post some time for all to read. You posted it at 2:18am California time, bebenavole wrote:How come ive seen no posts here about this model?

so many have not yet seen it.
I have an SC-2 and it's one of my favorites. It's one of the few G&L's I have with
the satin finish neck and I love it.
The neck is a #1 - G&L Classic "C" and the body weight of mine is a medium weight (sorry, I don't
have a scale to give you the actual weight).
Hope this helps.

Re: Any SC-2 owners?
Hey Craig!
U r right. Anyway what i am interested is...
Is the neck anything like a 62ri strat neck, like flat in the middle and stronger on the shoulders or is it the other way around.
You know, I tried some G&Ls at the local store here in Zagreb. I could not tell which guitar had which neck.
1 ASAT classic semi hollow no f hole, maple neck
2 Legacy specials and 1 legacy deluxe
I believe all of them have a 12" board but the neck shapes are quite different
so thats whats confusing
all 4 guitars have pretty beefy necks
The classic and the deluxe had a hand tag on which was written LN#3 and LN#4 respectively. Does that say to you anything?
I also managed to find an older Legacy a couple of years ago...That guitar has a really thin neck and is feather light, but i did learn that the older G&Ls had a thinner neck prof.
G&Ls have really no respect here in Croatia. People are too narrow minded , they rather buy a F^%er which is beyond me.
What I want is an evenly rounded neck profile with a 12" board. I already own a 52 RI US tele an the neck on that guitar is great except the fact its a 7-1/2" board and tiny frets. So I want something flatter. Most all of the ASATS ive seen on ebay have a 7-1/2 board and usually no detailed specs on the neck.
Theres no dealer for G&L here in Croatia, actually there is but they're taking guitars from a slovenian dealership and its usually tribute models. Which sucks.
cheers

Re: Any SC-2 owners?
LN#3 and #4 probably denote the neck dimensions, both have a 12" radius, and the #3 is 1" 11/16, #4 1" 3/4 at the nut. These are all the 'beefier' profile, but there is the 'heritage' profile which is thinner. You can see the specs for necks here
http://www.glguitars.com/instruments/US ... guitar.asp
A heritage C seems up your alley if you find the others too beefy. I really like the #3 neck. I custom orderred it on my recent ASAT. Tributes have different neck specs you can also find on the website.

Re: Any SC-2 owners?
I have the #1 neck on two of mine, I love it. It's a nice chunky C-shape. It's very similar to the shape of the 52RI tele, perhaps a little bit thinner, but with larger frets and the flatter 12" finger board. I'll hazard a guess here and say that you'll love it!

I tried to take a couple of photos of the neck for you but all they show is the colour. It's very difficult to show the shape of the neck.bebenavole wrote:No detailed pics of the neck tho...
Just take a gamble and order one!
