Irish born, but now based in London, England. Have owned a variety of instruments since I started playing around 1985 including a Squire Jazz Bass, a Fender USA Precision, a Washburn AB20 - but moved to a G&L Interceptor in the 90s. Also replaced the AB20 with a Takamine EG512CFG. Have dabbled with fretless since hearing Mick Karn play for Japan in the 80s, mainly borrowing them - but now actively considering a Jaco Pastorious Jazz or a G&L SB2 fretless if I can lay my hands on one. Any advice would be welcome. I Worship Jamerson, Prestia, Pastorious, The Smiths' Andy Rourke and The Jam's Bruce Foxton. And John Entwhistle. To name but a few.
