I was born in in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1957. I picked up guitar in 1970 and played with the usual lot of high school garage bands. I mixed my first radio broadcast at the age of thirteen as well. After graduating from high school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. Beginning in 1979, I studied Music Composition, Electronic Music, and Recording Techniques at the University of Tennessee.
In 1980, I married the former Ruth Czarniak, a lovely, wonderful lady who is my my best friend. We have two great sons, Ian and Trevor, a lovely daughter in law, Tanya, and a sweet grand-daughter, Naiomi.
Since 1981, I've been employed as an audio recording engineer. I currently work for an East Coast Media Concern. Though I've engineered the live TV shows, a soap opera, and other shows, since 1986 my duties have revolved around Audio-Post-Production-for-Video. I have freelanced album projects, created and taught audio recording techniques courses, and written the odd magazine article (whence came the picture).
In my spare time, I love to play guitar (fingerstyle, rock, blues, classical), listen to music, and study World War II, specifically the air war in Europe and the US submarine campaign in the Pacific.
