What a journey it has been so far.
Starting playing guitar at fourteen, in 1965. Joined a progressive blues band (for its time) a year later and actually made some money. Played the usual; YMCAs, high school dances and even the Cafe Wha in Greenwich Village, NYC.
At the ripe old age of seventeen, I left for college, and my guitar playing days. Majored in Communications and Film and eventually worked in TV as a Producer/Director/Writer. That lasted for around seven years.
Since then, I have been in investments, traveling around the country and performing seminars on asset allocation.
The guitar epiphany came just six months ago, July, 2000. While returning my eleven year old's band clarinet at the local music store, I saw it. . . a cheap MI? strat. Not knowing a PRS for a Peavey, I bought it.
A lot has happened since then. Playing better than ever, taking lessons and preparing to sign up for the 2001 National Guitar Workshop, I have also turned to collecting. My ASAT Jr is kept company by my Amer Dlx Strat and Tele, PRS CU24 and Swamp Ash, McInturff Royal, and two more on their way. Yikes, my eleven year old better get a music scholarship.
Next year, I join a band. Let's say I wont be doing high school dances.
Keep on pickin'. AJM
