Caption: Playing with Loda Dimes (my band) at a Dallas radio station event in Lee Park. Yes, "Loda Dimes" is taken from Blazing Saddles, for those of you who caught it.
I'm a 54-year-old wannabe who was fortunate enough to have been asked to join Big Cookie & the Crumbs about 5 years ago. I had not played with a band or in front of people since my second year of college. I had forgotten how much I love it. This is my first stint as a guitar player. Previous incarnations included trumpet in school and rock & roll bands, and bass (upright and electric) in rock & roll and a bluegrass band or two. BC&TC dissoved a while back and we three ex-Crumbs keep on, keepin' on with some originals and a new repertoire. Less blues, more roots music with a country tinge.
