I'm a former G&L Dealer and the former owner of LaCroix & Sons Guitars in Marshall, Minnesota from 1984 to 1998. I'm currently "semi-retired" in Northeastern Minnesota, and although I'm no longer in retail, I repair guitars on a regular basis.

I own an ASAT Classic Leo Fender Commemorative, serial #27, and a "prototype" ASAT Standard Signature, maple neck, with an "oil" based, hand rubbed natural finish with a highly figured Ash body, serial #G027685. The ASAT Prototype was sold to me by direct authorization from G&L Sales Manager Dale Hyatt. There were only six of these ASAT Stnd. Signatures made with this "oil" based finish, and only two were made with a maple neck, making this a very, very Rare Bird!

I also own a fantastic early '97 G&L S-500 in Blueburst with a maple fingerboard and pearloid pickguard, serial #G050603, and a stunning 2008 G&L JB2 bass, serial #CLF46985 that has a beautiful Flamed Maple top in Cherryburst with a maple fingerboard which I purchased from Dave at Guitar Adoptions Inc.

I loved being a G&L Dealer. They were wonderful, first-rate handcrafted instruments! I usually stocked 30 to 40 G&L instruments at all times. My customer satisfaction with G&L's was always A+!!!

I've also been a guitar repair technician for over 40 years, and my repairs/mods have always been considered as good as one can find anywhere, and that's why I continue to work on guitars - It's my second passion next to playing guitar.

A million thanks to the Genius, the Man, C. Leo Fender!
