Been playing guitar since I was 11. Played professionally for several years back in the early '80s. Have played in local bands off & on since. '62 reissue Strat was my main instrument.
I recently purchased a G&L 25th Anniversary.
On June 4, 2006 when visiting the G&L website to check out options to build a custom Legacy, I saw the 25th Anniversary model. Unaware that Dealer orders were placed in August of '05 for this model and selected thru a lottery, I contacted the local G&L dealer to order one. After explaining to me that all were gone from the factory, he called G&L to check. As it turned out, a lottery winning store had gone out of business and never claimed their guitar. After confirming availability, the order was placed.
Timing IS everything.
