NGD 2007 Comanche

Post by SUaPYG »

Yesterday I acquired a Comanche

CLF47941
Build date: October 2007
Color: Black with Maple binding
Pic Guard: Pearl
Body: Alder with front and back cuts (arm and belly)
Neck: Rosewood
Nut: 1 - 5/8 inch - it is a dark color, so not bone. Graf Tec?
Head: Matching black with white lettering
PTB knobs: Chrome
Case: G&G Tweed

I have no desire to set up an Imgur account or something similar, so sorry, no pics.

It will be added to the registry momentarily.

This is my fourth G&L. The other three are: 2020 V12, 2022 ASAT Classic Bluesboy, 2016 Tribute semi-hollow Bluesboy

Congrats SUaPYG! :happy0065:

Comanche’s are great guitars and the black with pearl guard sounds like a looker.

Look forward to updates.

I believe the neck profile is a classic C with a 12" radius.

I asked SUaPYG for photos of his Comanche so I could verify the body wood which shows in the wood binding. It is Alder.
I asked him if I could share his photos of his beautiful guitar, Here they are:

His 2007 Comanche has the stock Graph-Tech Graphite nut and string tree. The Locking Schaller tuners are also standard with this model.
The stock neck size would be a #1 (12” radius, 1 5/8” nut width).
The options on this guitar are:
- Polished Gloss finish on the neck.
- Painted headstock (matching body finish)
- Wood binding (aka natural wood binding) around the top of the Alder body.

This is a very fine and well appointed G&L Comanche.

Thanks to SUaPYG for sharing his photos!
