Re: R&D: Here’s a Comanche in prototype “Jaw Breaker” finish
I was curious to see what the back looks like, so I went to the dealer's website and found the guitar there:

And then I read the listing of features
I sure don't see any White Pearl Block Inlays, either ... you can hardly see the White Pearl dots, though.
I looked for a comments section on their website but did not find one. I would have pointed out those anomalies, if there was one.
What do you think about the prototype Jaw Breaker finish?

And then I read the listing of features

Can be found on Reverb. Traded email with seller and he said it looks better in person than pictures show.

Kinda reminds me of some of Mac Whiteside’s beautiful work in the past.

If I zoom into the picture it appears that the fret markets may be small rectangles instead of dots. Could be that's what the description means. I could well be wrong also.

Block inlays are much bigger than the dots.Kit wrote:If I zoom into the picture it appears that the fret markets may be small rectangles instead of dots. Could be that's what the description means. I could well be wrong also.

White Block inlays on a Maple fretboard does not photograph well:
Here are White Block inlays on an Ebony fretboard:
The inlays are the same size on all fretboard wood types.
Hope this helps.
BTW, I went to the Reverb.com ad and they do have a comments section, so I let them know about these items.
I just noticed that they listed the pickguard as a White Pearloid one instead of a Mint Pickguard. I send them another comment.

It kind of looks relic'd without the damage... Interesting.

It's interesting. I might like the paint job more with a different color scheme. I see no blocks. Looks like dots to me.
