Greetings,
I stumbled over this great site. Saw that people are still looking for the ultimate switching scheme.
A while ago I made an extensive study on the parallel combinations that are possible on an L-2000 or similar, but were not explored by G&L.
I admit I was in pursuit of the Stingray tone. While the new parallel combinations do not nail it exactly, they surely are a step towards that, but that is not the point. They sound great and gauged by the simplicity of the change, it would be a shame not to exploit them.
I made an extensive write-up on my web pages. Feel free to look up my L-2000 page. Note that this contains a lot of things that have been tried and have been tossed. Extract what suits you.
Have fun,
-Helmut

Sorry for the double posts. I received permanent errors from the server and landed back on the editor, so I retried. Admin: Please remove the doubles.
