UPDATE 9/16/2025-ISP's Servers are being updated ...

Post by Craig »

...

You have probably noticed that our site has been up and down recently. I finally heard back about why.
Our ISP is in the process of updating their Servers to a new version of MySQL. They sent me email yesterday and they said:

"Over the next few weeks, we will be upgrading your databases within your hosting account(s) to MySQL5.7. There might be a short service interruption during the upgrade, and we will try our best to keep it as minimal as possible.

Please keep a close eye on the announcement and reach out to us if your website is facing any issues after upgrades."

UPDATE 9/16/2025-Re: ISP's Servers are being updated ...

I contacted the ISP Tech Support to get status on the database server update this morning.

They again told me they are currently working on it but could not give me a timeframe for completion. :x
However, I was able to get a workaround to reset the database error we have been seeing since the announcement of the
update. So, when this happens:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

User 'bwt' has exceeded the 'max_questions' resource (current value: 300000) [1226]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

8:55 AM
I will be able to easily reset this error condition and the site will be accessible again.
