I have been doing my fall maintenance and have completed about 30 guitars in the recent weeks, new strings, complete setups, and a test drive on the AC-15. I have been re-bonding with them and it is like getting new ones again. Some really stand out and that happened again tonight. Of the many G&Ls I have completed, I always hang it in the living room and tell Ginny, "boy, is this one special". She will always ask, what is it? The one I did tonight is really special. It is my Asat Z-3 with the Bigsby. Restringing a Bigsby is a piece of cake, much easier than a wraparound TonePros. This guitar weighs in 6 Lbs 11 oz and suites me well in the weight category. When I plugged it in tonight I had forgotten how this thing sings. Last year I installed a WR bridge pickup in it. You can crank this thing to the max and no noise. These pickups are rich, articulate with nice overtones and anything but sterile. They cook in my opinion. For you folks who have not tried a Z-3, Comanche or a WR Z-3 you should try one if you have the opportunity. I cannot imagine what to dislike about these pickups. I will also tell you that this guitar does not have tuning issues. Pretty much a perfect guitar in my opinion. Here are some photos and if you get the urge to post some more porn, please do so. I think the forum needs a jolt or something. Maybe I will have a shot of something!-- Darwin
