The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
Quick pic of the G&L's.
2013 USA Fallout, early example. Installed coil tap tone control and shimmed neck. Awesome, versatile guitar.
The ASAT is a Tribute Bluesboy Musicians Friend/Guitar Center exclusive color - Turquoise Mist Metallic. I bought this to mod. It has a Cavalier pickups Fat Lion in the bridge and a Duncan 59 in the neck. Very nice player and great sounding.
The amp is a 1967 Fender Bassman AB165. I replaced the electrolytic caps and a few resistors. Custom cab by Mather Cabs.

I don't think either is better. The 59 in the ASAT can get that smooth jazzy tone and gets plenty barky with the tone control wide open.
The JB in the Fallout has classic bucker bridge tones. I overall prefer the Fallout but it is getting closer as I adjust the set-up on the ASAT.
The neck on the ASAT was pretty much unfinished on the back. I finished it with some clear Watco after working it over with some 4-0 steel wool. It is super smooth now!
