The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
I just picked up a used ASAT blues boy. Body shows a date of 2010 in the cavity. I love the guitar absolutely feels amazing - I returned a made in mexico tele i recently bought to get this - and I am glad I made the change.
I am trying to find out some info on this guitar.
The neck has some writing on it when I removed it - picture is attached. I am trying to find out what all this means- just out of curiousity..
Next - Im curious if anyone can tell me what the stock pickups were in 2010? The guitar has been up dated wth LIndy fralin pickups - which I am yet to identify... Id like to see if I can get a set of the stock pickups that were in this guitar so I can do some comparitives... I like to tinker with stuff...
The guitar also has an updated bridge - A glendale, with glendale saddles.. I am not sure which model this either. But I am lookig in to it. I ordered a stock G&L bridge - so I can tinker with that too..
Thanks in advance !

If MIA, the pickups & bridge are the ones currently available on the G&L website. For the pups specifically, you can use either the MFDs or the Alnico. But in 2010, the MFDs were the only choice.

Take care,

Sorry - was having image troubles.. Posted now..
I am assuming from the serial number this is a MIA. It starts with a CLF.

Here goes:
"AC"" ASAT Classic
"RW": rosewood fingerboard
"BE": Bird's Eye maple
"GunT": Gun-oil Tint (finish of the neck; looks really good with Bird's Eye Maple so no surprise there)
""#1A": indicates neck type, i.e. Slim C profile with 12" fingerboard radius and 1⅝" nut width. Depth would be 0.820”at fret 1 to 0.870” at fret 12. You see the actual numbers at the bottom of the heel.
The number in the middle is most likely the tracking number for the factory.

This guitar is outfitted with humbucker in the neck - not a single coil which your link sent me to - Would you happen to know what humbucker was stock in 2010?
Also - is a CLF serial number a USA made instrument?

Aonther possiblility for "GN" is Graph-Tech nut and "VT" is Vintage Tint neck (Satin finish). Would like to see the front view of the neck, showing the nut.
The #289039.LN#1 is the dealer's order number and LN#1 is the line number 1 order.
Since OP says this is a Bluesboy, the stock neck pickup will be a wax-potted Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucker.
The stock bridge pickup will be the MFD AC bridge pickup which is modded at the factory with the ground plate wiring like this: Bluesboy Bridge Pickup Detail.
Please do post a complete photo of the guitar, too.
